Invoice discounting for startups works differently than it does for an established MSME: most platforms want a track record you may not have yet, and TReDS, often the cheapest option, only works if your buyer is already on the platform. We reviewed six providers Indian startups actually use, KredX, M1xchange, RXIL, Invoicemart, Drip Capital, and Lendingkart, and scored each one on eligibility, speed, and cost specifically for early-stage businesses.
Check your eligibility below before reading the full breakdown.

| Minimum Eligibility | 15% | Business age, GST requirement, credit score, and buyer credit quality needed |
| User Experience | 10% | Digital onboarding, KYC turnaround, and dashboard usability |
| Customer Support | 10% | Availability of dedicated account support during onboarding and disputes |
KredX is an invoice discounting marketplace, not a TReDS platform, which means it doesn't require your buyer to be onboarded anywhere first. Its published eligibility criteria ask for at least ten months in business, at least two large or blue-chip corporate buyers, and a credit score of 650 or above. Funds are typically disbursed 24 to 72 hours after an invoice is verified and accepted. That combination, no buyer onboarding requirement plus a relatively short vintage requirement, is why it ranks best overall for startups rather than an established MSME.
→ Full KredX reviewA startup that hasn't yet built the invoicing history invoice discounting requires still has a working capital option: an NBFC business loan. Lendingkart underwrites against bank statements, GST returns, and bureau data rather than a specific set of unpaid invoices, which makes it accessible earlier than any invoice-based product on this list. It's a loan, not receivables financing, so it adds debt to the balance sheet and typically costs more, but it fills the gap before a startup qualifies for discounting or TReDS.
→ Full Lendingkart reviewDomestic invoice discounting and TReDS don't cover cross-border invoices. Drip Capital funds against post-shipment export receivables, with both recourse and non-recourse options, and approvals are typically issued within 48 hours, with funds released 24 to 48 hours after that. Rates aren't standardized across customers, so get the effective annual percentage rate, the recourse terms, and any reserve holdback in writing before signing.
→ Full Drip Capital review→ Invoice financing for Indian exportersM1xchange is one of three RBI-licensed TReDS platforms, alongside RXIL and Invoicemart. It doesn't charge MSME sellers a listing fee, and competitive bidding among more than 60 banks and NBFCs typically produces discount rates in the 8% to 18% per annum range, with funds settled within 24 hours of bid acceptance. The constraint is the same across every TReDS platform: both the buyer and the seller must be registered before an invoice can be listed, so this only helps once your buyer is already onboarded.
RXIL was among the first TReDS platforms licensed by the RBI and has processed among the highest invoice volumes of the three. For larger invoice values, the effect of competitive bidding on the final rate is more pronounced, which is why RXIL earns the pick for high-ticket receivables specifically, rather than for typical early-stage invoice sizes. Financing is collateral-free and without recourse to the MSME seller, consistent with RBI's TReDS framework.
→ Full RXIL TReDS reviewInvoicemart is the third RBI-licensed TReDS platform. If your buyer is already onboarded there instead of M1xchange or RXIL, that determines your platform, not a general quality difference between the three. Pricing and settlement mechanics follow the same RBI TReDS framework as the other two.

A starting point based on how each industry typically bills its customers, not a guarantee of eligibility.
SaaS with enterprise contracts
KredX
Recurring invoices to large clients fit KredX's blue-chip-buyer model without needing TReDS onboarding.
IT services / staffing
KredX or TReDS
Use KredX first; move eligible invoices to TReDS once a client is onboarded there.

TReDS (M1xchange or RXIL)
Manufacturers billing large corporates are the most common TReDS use case.

Invoice factoring
Buyers in logistics are used to third-party billing, which makes factoring less friction than discounting.

KredX
Retainer invoices to a small number of large clients match KredX's minimum eligibility criteria closely.
Healthcare suppliers
TReDS
Hospital chains and PSU healthcare buyers above the turnover mandate are increasingly TReDS-onboarded.
Ecommerce wholesalers / D2C B2B arms
Lendingkart
Marketplace payouts don't always produce clean B2B invoices, so a working capital loan often fits better early on.
Start with KredX if you have at least two established corporate buyers and ten months of operating history. It's the only platform on this list that doesn't require your buyer to be pre-registered anywhere. If your buyer is already on a TReDS platform, move eligible invoices there instead, the rate is usually better. If you're too early for any invoice-based product, Lendingkart or a similar NBFC loan bridges the gap without asking for collateral. Exporters should start with Drip Capital rather than trying to force a domestic product to cover an international invoice.

Method: Eligibility criteria and rate ranges were taken from each platform's own published documentation and cross-checked against RBI's TReDS regulatory framework and government notifications on mandatory buyer onboarding. Where a platform doesn't publish a figure, we say so rather than estimate one.
Scope: This roundup covers platforms actively used by Indian startups as of mid-2026. Inclusion isn't paid; we don't run affiliate placements that affect ranking order.
